The Bachelor of Education programme (Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL) began in 1989. The aim of the programme is to provide academic preparation and professional training for English Secondary School teachers. The programme integrates the English language skills and English Literature with the professional components, which stress on knowledge in education and classroom teaching practices.
A Student must complete total of 133 credits in order to be awarded the Bachelor of Education Teaching of English as a Second Language.

Maximum: 12 Semesters
MT08 - Sarjana Muda Pendidikan (Pengajaran Bahasa Inggeris Sebagai Bahasa Kedua)
The minimum entry requirement for the Undergraduate programme is the National Higher School Certificate (or an Advance Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above or applicant must possess a Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00 in a field suitable to the applied.
Students need to undergo the interview session before being accepted by the respective faculty.
Students are required to enroll in the Malay Language Programme prior to being conferred a degree.
English Language Requirements
Students must obtain the TOEFL score of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 79-80 (IBT) and above and/or IELTS Band 6 or General Certificate of Secondary Education (Ordinary Level), University of Cambridge with a credit pass or General Certificate of Education (Advance Level), University of Cambridge, with a pass.
