This programme offers students a minimum of 100 credit units of courses for graduation, in which 65 units comprise of basic and core courses to be completed within 6 to 10 semesters. Students are given two options to follow for their course of studies: the minor-major or major-elective options. The programme focuses on fields in basic physics, namely mechanics, thermodynamics, electronics, quantum mechanics, electricity and magnetism, and solid state physics. The School of Physics has academic staff who are experts in their fields and are competent in teaching all the courses offered. We offer elective courses in fields that have active ongoing research. The programme also caters for education students who wish to minor in physics.
