Course Overview

In accordance with the university's educational philosophy, FKAAS ensures that the quantity and quality of the program offered meet the demand of the current job market through a market-oriented academic program, which is student-focused and applies learning-through-experience. Hence, FKAAS offers a diverse program that may be acquired either full-time or part-time, through  distance learning and also through offshore  programs. In  addition, the university also offers programs and short/long term courses for  professional  staff (government or private), individuals or corporations.

Curriculum

Entry Requirements

STPM holder and obtained at least Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in Mathematics and one (1) in Science subjects. 

or

STAM (year 2012 and before) holder and obtained atleast Pangkat Jayyid.

or

Diploma holder from IPTA/Polytechnic/Equivalent with at least a CPA of 2.70 or 2 years of working experience in related fields (for those with CPA less than 2.70)

or

Obtained KPM Matriculation Certificate with at least Gred C in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

And

CREDITS in Malay and History and atleast Gred E in English at SPM.

And

Obtained at least Band 2 in the "Malaysian University English Test" (MUET)

Career Prospects

Civil engineering is arguably one of the oldest engineering disciplines. It deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and natural built environment, including buildings, roads, bridges, dams, and canals. It is a wide ranging profession, including different sub-disciplines, structural engineering, materials science, geotechnical engineering, water resources, surveying, and transportation engineering.

Civil engineering offers many opportunities as well as the satisfaction of helping to improve and enhance public quality of life in many settings. Career in civil engineering: Project Engineers, Surveyors, Project Coordinator, Traffic Engineer, Geotechnic Engineer, Hydrology Engineer, Researchers and Academicians.
