Course Description

The Diploma in Mass Communication allows students a deeper insight into different aspects of the industry that will help them decide on their specialisation in the future. Designed with the perfect balance of theory and practice, students are encouraged to apply what they’ve learned through various projects in and out of the classroom. From working the camera and crafting copy to organising events and creating strategies, students in this programme master the art of pitching ideas, consumer behaviour analysis and how to reach out to new target markets.

Upon completion of the programme, students may opt to pursue their undergraduate studies or explore various exciting options in relation to mass media.

Any other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia (or as stated in the Document Senarai Nilai Taraf Kelayakan Akademik, Malaysian Qualifications Agency) Pass (Subject to review and approval of certified transcripts)
Local Student : Credit (SPM / 1119 / UEC / O Levels examination) / Min. score of Band 4 in MUET
International Student : Band 5.5 in IELTS; or a score of 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based); or 550 (paper-based) in TOEFL
*If English language requirements are not fulfilled, students are required to sit for the English Placement Test and based on the results, students will be advised to take the appropriate English course(s) of the Certificate in Intensive English. Students are required to complete the Certificate in Intensive English modules before the commencement of the Diploma in Mass Communication.
