Course Description | Diploma in Computer Forensic focuses on the study of detection and investigation of crime committed on or via computers and computer networks. Examples of computer-related criminal activity include fraud, pornography, harassment, copyright offences, organized crime and computer misuse. This programme is developed to produce support forensics specialists who has the knowledge in the legal and investigative processes, and skilled in the field of computing, especially security. The skills required by the computer forensicspecialist are therefore very broad - deeply technical on the one hand, highly professional on the other. |

Entry Requirements | (i) Pass SPM/SPMV or its equivalent with 3 credits including Mathematics; OR (ii) Science Computer Certificate from PTPL and pass all of the subjects; OR (iii) Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least grade B in 3 subjects; OR (iv) Other equivalent qualification recognised by Malaysian Government |

Career Prospects | Careers in computer forensics are found mainly in IT/Security environment; for example, law-enforcement agencies, military and government intelligence agencies, private security and consulting companies.
