Course Overview

Electrical and electronic principles are at the core concept of some of the world’s largest industries. This programme will equip you with the knowledge and skills to work in a wide range of careers in the electrical and electronics, through a highly targeted curriculum that focuses on courses across the electronic engineering field. Your knowledge of mathematical and scientific principles will serve as the foundation for higher studies in electronic and electronic engineering, and you career competency enhanced through the innovative teaching and learning the ecosystem at Management and Science University.

Entry Requirements

i. Pass SPM or its equivalent with at least credits in THREE (3) subjects, including Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science / technical / vocational subject AND a pass in English;

ii. Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with a pass in Mathematics, English and ONE (1) relevant science / technical / vocational subject at the SPM level;

iii. Recognised Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology or its equivalent;

iv. Recognised related Vocational and Technical / Skills Certificate or its equivalent with ONE (1) year of relevant work experience or a minimum of ONE (1) semester of a bridging programme.

For International students, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent.

If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme. This is normally conducted through an assessment process.

Upon completion of this programme, graduates may find ample career opportunities in a wide range of sectors such as in telecommunication firms, manufacturing companies, research institutes in electrical / electronic engineering, computer engineering sectors, and assembly plants as supervisors, technicians, technical assistants, plant management assistant, sales engineer, maintenance engineer and etc.

Graduates can also consider upgrading their knowledge and skills by articulating into a range of degree or professional certification programmes offered in Malaysia or any other outside internationally recognised Institutions.
