Course Description

Diploma in Nursing programme is a programme for the training of nurses. This programme focuses on health and nursing sciences and the care aspects of nursing. Students will undergo a comprehensive learning experience involving classroom work, activities at simulation wards, practical room and skills lab, and earn real life experience during attachments with partner hospitals and community health clinics.

Entry Requirements

Malaysian Student

(i) Pass SPM with 5 credits in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • Science (General Science/ Pure Science- Biology/Chemistry/Physics)
  • 3 other subjects


(ii) A pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language 

International Student

(i) Pass O Level or SPM equivalent with 5 credits in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • Science (General Science/ Pure Science- Biology/Chemistry/Physics)
  • 3 other subjects


(ii) English Language Proficiency (a must for students whose medium of instruction is not English)

  • Pass International English Testing System (IELTS) with minimum score of 5.50


(iii) Pass Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) with minimum score of 5.50


(iv) Pass English Language (O level or SPM 1119 equivalent)


(v) Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with 2.50 CGPA or at grade B5 in Science subject and B6 for 2       other subjects;


(vi) Other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government

Career Prospects

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates can apply to become nurses or assistant administrator at government or private hospitals and clinics. There is also high demand for nurses worldwide, where many nurses are offered employment internationally (e.g. Singapore, Middle East, Australia). Graduates with clinical experience can also work as Clinical Instructor at higher learning Institutions.
