Course Overview

The Diploma in Public Relations and Entertainment Management programme is delivered with a strong practical emphasis on entertainment management and public relations. In this modern era, public relations is one of the key requirements of most companies and organizations. At the same time, the entertainment business is growing worldwide in the accessibility, quantity, quality and production of all popular music and events. This programme integrates knowledge and skills in public relations and entertainments with the students ability and natural talent. These elements are necessary to manage artistes through out the production of press releases, video clips, contracts, and event booking schedules. To keep pace with the rapid changes in the industry, a solid foundation in communications theory is blended with practical, hands-on-work experience including field placement of entertainment talents in public environments.

(i) Pass SPM or its equivalent with 3 credits;

(ii) Certificate from Polytechnic/private higher learning institution (IPTS) and other qualification recognised by MSU Senate;
OR
(iii) Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least grade B in 3 subjects;
OR
(iv) Other equivalent qualification recognised by Malaysian Government
