| Course Description | The MSU programme leading up to the award of a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering is an interdisciplinary degree with a strong emphasis on research. It prepares you to demonstrate academic leadership, independence, creativity and innovation in undertaking research. The advanced training you receive, while building your expertise in a specialist area, opens you to a wide range of acquirable and transferable skills. Strategic thinking and thought-provoking case studies are part and parcel of postgraduate work, providing real world insight to students with a higher level of practical problem solving abilities.
