The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Midwifery) equips student with pertinent knowledge and skills to become sensitive, safe and competent midwives who will be able to meet the needs of women and their families during the time of birth. It is planned especially for Registered Nurses who have obtained their Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing. On completion of the course, the graduate can safely provide services in various aspects of obstetrics, gynaecology and neonatology.

Malaysian Candidate:
Possess Diploma in Nursing from recognized institution
Registered with Malaysia Nursing Board
Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Minimum 2 years clinical working experience
Possess three months experience in the related specialty

International Candidate:           
Possess Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
Registered with the Nursing Council of the country of origin
Possess a current Temporary Practicing Certificate from MNB before clinical placement
Minimum 2 years clinical working experience
Possess three months experience in related specialty
Pass IETS minimum of 5.5 OR Pass TOEFL with minimum 515
Able to converse in Malay language

Health Status:
Student must be certified medically fit by registered medical practitioner within 1 month from commencement of the nursing program.
Student must be free from medical conditions, HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis B or C, any mental health disorders, Epilepsy and color blindness.
Student must not have any physical or impaired sense that hinder nursing dexterity.
