Course Description
The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme prepares graduate for a professional career in the Electrical and Electronics field, specializing in the designing and operating of sophisticated devices, equipment, technology, services and systems. This programme also offers a broad range of skills to ensure a holistic education, preparing the graduate to be a successful team player and engineer with good communication and soft skills.
 
This programme offers to the student in-depth fundamental knowledge of Electrical and Electronic Engineering via modules such as Electrical Technology, Fundamental of Communication Theory, Fundamental of Digital Circuit, Engineering Workshop, Understanding Engineering, Instrumentation and Process Control, Control Systems, Computer Organization and Architectures and others. Furthermore, student will also be taught advance Electrical courses such as Electrical Power, Electrical Machines and Drives, High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Energy Utilization. Advanced electronic courses such as Advance Electronics, Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, Microprocessor, and Advance Digital System will also be taught. Student will also have the opportunity to learn subjects in the telecommunications fields such as Analog Communication, Digital Communication, Network Technologies, Introduction to Network, and also Applied Electromagnetism.

* Students who have completed the Graduate Preparatory Course at the diploma level are not required to take this course again, but are required to take an additional University Course to ensure that a total of four (4) MPU2 courses are taken.

** Tamadun Islam & Tamadun Asia and Hubungan Etnik are meant to be for local students while Bahasa Melayu Komunikasi 2 and Pengajian Malaysia 3 are for international students.

? Entry from Diploma into the Degree is subject to meeting programme & relevant entry requirements.

Entry Requirements
  • STPM or equivalent: 2Cs (Mathematics and Physical Science) and SPM with a pass in English
  • UEC: 5Bs (Mathematics & Physical Science) and pass English
  • Foundation/Matriculation/Asasi: CGPA 2.00
  • Diploma (in related field): CGPA 2.00

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT (for international students)*

  • IELTS: 5.0 OR
  • TOEFL: 500 (PBT)/ 61 (iBT) OR
  • Pearson: 36 OR
  • MUET: 3

*International students with qualifications from educational systems where English language is the main medium of instruction are exempted from this requirement.

International students who do not fulfil the English Language Requirement may join the Intensive English Programme at Nilai University which builds their skills in the language and prepares them for the TOEFL / IELTS examination.
