Achievement

TAR UMT is a CIM Graduate Gateway accredited university in Malaysia. Under this arrangement, students are given exemption on Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) basis for 1 out of 3 modules of CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing. In the Third Year, students will be prepared to sit for the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing examinations. Upon passing the CIM examination and with relevant work experience, graduates are eligible for Associate Membership of CIM.

  1. (1) STPM - Grade C in 2 relevant subjects
  2. (2) A Level - Grade D in 2 relevant subjects
  3. (3) UEC - Grade B in 5 relevant subjects
  4. (4) TAR UMT - Foundation in Business OR Relevant Diploma
  5. (5) Other IHL - Relevant Foundation/ Diploma accredited by MQA

Compulsory subjects:

  • (1), (2), (3), and (5) must include:
  1. i) SPM Pass/ O Level Grade E (pass) n Mathematics/ UEC Grade C in one mathematics subject
  2. ii) SPM Pass/ O Level Grade E(Pass)/ UEC Grade C in English Language

Note:

  1. a) Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Bachelor Degree.
  2. b) TAR UMT Diploma will be accepted on credit transfer into Bachelor Degree programmes.
  3. c) Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  4. d) Subject to the Ministry of Education latest requirements.
