Course Overview

UCSI University’s Bachelor of Finance Economics (Hons) is structured to equip students with sound knowledge of financial and economic analyses. Students are trained to put their ideas to practice throughout the programme, which boasts breadth and depth in financial economics.

At the University, we believe in grooming the best practitioners not only in, but for, the industry. In this light, our graduates are equipped with a solid understanding of key industrial practices and the fundamental assumptions that make them work. From policy analysis to financial risk analysis, our students will be exposed to a wide variety of decision making processes and strategic considerations, enabling them to make more informed financial decisions. Assessments

Learners will be assessed with a combination of examinations, projects and assignments. In the final year, students are required to complete a dissertation course.

Students will also have to complete internships to develop career-related skills that will mould them into effective practitioners.

Entry Requirements

For general Business degree: UCSI Foundation year Pass, with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 STPM Minimum 2 principals (C) (CGPA 2.0) in 2 subjects and pass in Mathematics and English at SPM Level A-Level Minimum 2 principals (E) UEC Minimum 5 credits (B6) including in Mathematics and English National Matriculation Minimum CGPA of 2.0 International Baccalaureate (IB) Minimum score of 26 points in 6 subjects Canadian Pre-U Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects SAM Minimum average of 60% in 5 subjects Australian Year 12 ATAR 65% Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency Minimum overall average of 60% Diploma (business-related) Minimum CGPA of 2.0 Other equivalent qualifications To be reviewed by the faculty on a case-to-case basis *For Accounting, Actuarial Science, Diploma and School of IT programmes, please refer to http://www.ucsiuniversity.edu.my/fobis/ for more details on entry requirements
