The Diploma in New Media Communication and Contentrepreneurship is a new programme introduced by the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies in 2013. The programme was set up upon receiving suggestions from the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDec) to cater the need of the country to produce practitioners in managing communication strategies for the digital industry. The duration for this programme is 2.5 years and student will have to undergo five semesters of study. The faculty requires students to undertake three components of courses which are university courses, faculty core courses and programme core courses.

Graduates have the opportunity to work either in the public or the private sector. They will be employed in various digital media corporation as digital content providers for web, animation, and games.
