Course Overview

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for Bachelor Degree courses offered in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, UMP, are as listed below.

A. From Mactriculation / Equivalent level.

• Pass in SPM or equivalent level with Credit in Bahasa Melayu
• Pass KPM Matriculation / PASUM / UiTM Foundation with minimum CGPA of 2.00
• Obtain at least Band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
• Obtain at least Grade C in Mathematics and at least 2 of the following subjects: Chemistry / Physics / Biology

B. From STPM / Equivalent level

• Pass in SPM or equivalent level with Credit in Bahasa Melayu
• Pass in STPM with at least grade C for Pengajian Am
• Obtain at least Band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
• Obtain at least Grade C for Mathematics T / Further Mathematics T and at least 2 of the following subjects: Chemistry / Physics / Biology

C. From Diploma / Equivalent level

• Pass in SPM or equivalent level with Credit in Bahasa Melayu
• Obtain a diploma which is recognized by the University Senate
• Obtain at least Band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
• Credit transfer is based on the approval by faculty
• Direct entry into second year is based on available places in the course.
