Course Overview

Program Bacelor Muzik (Persembahan Muzik) [(BM)] mencakupi pelbagai kursus dengan penekanan kepada Persembahan Muzik, Teknologi Muzik dan Pendidikan Muzik dengan tujuan melahirkan pemuzik profesional yang berkemahiran dan berpengetahuan. Selain itu, pelajar juga dapat menganggotai Orkestra, Kumpulan Gamelan dan Pergendangan Melayu serta Kumpulan Keroncong. Jabatan juga menyediakan Makmal Multimedia, Makmal Teknologi Muzik, Studio Rakaman, Makmal Pendidikan Muzik, Makmal Gamelan, Makmal Piano, Makmal Alat Muzik Bass, Makmal Perkusi dan Dewan Latihan Orkestra serta Bilik Latihan Instrumental untuk memudahkan pembelajaran muzik sesuai kehendak pembelajaran semasa. Melalui program ini, dapat melahirkan graduan-graduan dalam bidang muzik yang bertaraf antarabangsa.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must fullfills the University General Requirements and specific programme requirements:

University General Requiments

A good pass in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM)/its equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia or a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July Paper;and

A pass in the STPM Examination at 2006 or before with at least; CGPA 2.00 and at least;

• C grade (CGPA 2.00) in General Studies; and
• C grade (CGPA 2.00) in two other subjects;or

A pass in the Matriculation Examination at 2006 or before with at least; CGPA 2.00; or 

A Diploma or its equivalent which is recognized by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate; and

At least Band 1 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

Specific Programme Requiments

A pass in Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Grade 5 (theory and practical) or equivalent; and

Passed in audition.
