Bachelor of Consumer Studies (Hons)

Course Overview

Program Bacelor Pengajian Pengguna adalah berlandaskan kepada falsafah untuk mewujudkan masyarakat madani yang bermaklumat, bertanggungjawab, beretika dan proaktif terhadap aspekkepenggunaan bagi meningkatkan keadilan pasaran dalam konteks pembangunan lestari ke arah peningkatan kehidupan berkualiti. Bidang Sains Pengguna mengintegrasikan pelbagai disiplin sains tulen dan gunaan seperti Ekonomi dan Perlakuan Pengguna, Pengurusan, Pemasaran, Sains dan Teknologi, Sosio-psikologi, Komunikasi dan Undang-undang. Program ini menyediakan graduandengan pengetahuan dan kemahiran dalam aspek kepenggunaan untuk menjadi penghubung antara pengeluar, pengguna dan pembuat dasar.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must fullfills the University General Requirements and specific programme requirements:

University General Requiments

A good pass in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM)/its equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia; and

A pass in the STPM Examination with at least; CGPA 2.00 and at least;

• C grade (CGPA 2.00) in General Studies; and
• C grade (CGPA 2.00) in two other subjects; or

A pass in the Matriculation Examination with at least; CGPA 2.00; or

A Diploma or its equivalent which is recognized by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate; and

At least Band 1 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

Specific Programme Requiments

A minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two of the following subjects at STPM level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics S/Mathematics T/Further Mathematics T, Economics, Accounting, Geography, History, Business Studies, Usuluddin, Syariah, Sport Science, Computing; or

A minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in two of the following subjects at Matriculation level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Business Management; or

A Diploma in a relevant field or any other qualification recognized by the UPM Senate; and

A pass in in one of the following subjects at SPM level; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science. 

A pass in the following subjects at SPM level: Mathematics/Additional Mathematics.
