Program Bacelor Ekonomi (BE) mula ditawarkan pada tahun 1995. Objektif utama program ini adalah untuk melahirkan tenaga kerja terlatih dan berkualiti di dalam bidang ekonomi untuk memenuhi keperluan pembangunan dan kemajuan negara.
University’s General Requirement
Every candidate who wishes to apply for the bachelor program in FEP has to fulfill the university’s general requirement and other terms as specified by the University.
Minimum Requirement for STPM (Higher Certificate of Education [HSE]) Candidate
i) Pass SPM (Malaysian Certificate of Education [MCE])/equivalent;
ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent;
iii) Pass STPM with at least:
- Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in General Studies/General Paper courses; and
- Grade C (CGPA 2.00in two (2) other courses; and
iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
Minimum Requirement for Malaysian Ministry of Education Matriculation (KPM)/ UM Science Matriculation/ UTM Basic Year
i) Pass SPM/equivalent;
ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent;
iii) Pass KPM (Matriculation of Education) Matriculation / UM Matriculation/ UTM Basic Year with CGPA 2.00; and
iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
Minimum Requirement for Equivalent Candidate
i) Pass SPM/equivalent;
ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent;
iii) Have other qualification that has been equivalently accepted by Malaysian Government and approved by the
University Senate; and
iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
Graduan program ini berpeluang mendapat pekerjaan di sektor awam dan swasta sebagai ahli ekonomi, perancang ekonomi, pendidik, penyelidik, pentadbir atau pengurus, usahawan, ahli perbankan dan sebagainya.
