Guidance and counselling is a process that helps individuals identify and develop their educational, career and psychological potential, enabling them to improve their personal fulfilment and contribution to society.
The Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) Guidance and Counselling provides students with comprehensive professional knowledge and skills for managing a range of psychological concerns. These include developmental challenges, behavioural difficulties, socioemotional distress and psychological stress arising from difficult situations.
The curriculum is designed to exceed the training standards and requirements established by the Malaysian Board of Counsellors. Students receive intensive training to help individuals achieve their potential and improve their psychological well-being. The programme aims to develop highly skilled and ethical professional counsellors.
