Banking and finance examines how money, financial instruments and financial institutions are managed within an economy. It covers areas such as money circulation, investments, lending, financial assets and the day-to-day operations of banks and other financial organisations.
The Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) Banking and Finance develops knowledge of finance, accounting and management, with an emphasis on modern banking practices and financial management.
Students gain practical exposure to industry tools such as the Statistical Analysis System, which is used for business analytics, business intelligence, data management and predictive analysis.
The programme incorporates elements of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program Candidate Body of Knowledge, helping students build a foundation relevant to the CFA examinations.
