Industrial engineering focuses on improving systems, processes and operations to enhance productivity, quality, efficiency and sustainability across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and transportation.
Industrial engineers apply engineering knowledge, data analysis and management techniques to solve complex industrial problems, reduce waste, optimise resources and improve organisational performance.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Industrial Engineering develops technical and practical skills in manufacturing systems, quality engineering, operations management, supply chain management, simulation and continuous improvement methodologies. The revised curriculum also incorporates Lean Six Sigma and AI-related applications to address current industry needs and Industry 4.0 developments.
Students develop problem-solving, analytical, communication and project management skills for addressing real-world engineering challenges. Upon successful completion of the programme, students will also receive a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate.
