Industrial management integrates technology, engineering, business and management principles to improve industrial systems, manufacturing operations and organisational performance. It focuses on managing resources such as manpower, materials, machines and methods to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality and sustainability.
The Bachelor of Technology (Honours) in Industrial Management develops students' knowledge and practical skills in industrial engineering, operations management, quality systems, supply chain management, programming, Lean Six Sigma and Industry 4.0 technologies. The revised curriculum also includes AI-related applications, the Internet of Things, energy analytics and sustainability.
Students may choose either the conventional non-work-based learning pathway or the work-based learning pathway. The work-based learning route provides extensive industry exposure through on-site training with industry partners.
Upon successful completion of the programme, students will also receive a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate.
The estimated fees for the non-work-based learning route are RM54,650 for Malaysian students and RM76,900 for international students.
