Global environmental problems such as climate change, pollution and depletion of natural resources have adversely affected human health and caused more diseases. It has become an important global agenda which leads to the emergence of environmental protection legalisations related to the control of hazardous substances, green technologies, green materials and waste treatment technologies.
Similarly, work environment has changed drastically with concerns of employees being exposed to hazardous substances, heavy machineries and occupational diseases. Since the passing of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, much of the attention has been on employers to protect their employees from workplace hazards.
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health is a unique multidisciplinary programme that combines the study of 'environmental health' and 'occupational safety and health'.
This programme provides a coherent body of professional knowledge, technical skills and soft skills with the aims to produce competent professionals who can adapt to different roles and responsibilities in a challenging and dynamic work environment.
STPM 1. A minimum of Grade C in any 2 subjects 2. Credit in 1 Science subject at SPM level / equivalent qualification*

A-Level 1. A minimum of Grade D in any 2 subjects 2. Credit in 1 Science subject at SPM level / equivalent qualification*
UEC 1. Grade B in 5 subjects 2. Credit in 1 Science subject at SPM level / equivalent qualification*
SAM 1. Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in any 2 subjects 2. Credit in 1 Science subject at SPM level / equivalent*
CPU 1. Average of 70% in 6 subjects 2. Credit in 1 Science subject at SPM level / equivalent*
TVET Diplomas: Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM): 1. Must be fully accredited by MQA. 2. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 OR CGPA of 2.00 with at least 2 years working experience in relevant field subject to Senate/ Academic Board’s approval. 3. Applicants will be required to pass the admission screening process conducted by the faculty and may be required to undergo the Bridging programme, if necessary, during the period of their study in addition to the existing curriculum structure. 4. Credit transfer can be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to existing credit transfer policies which are in effect.
Foundation from UTAR Matriculation / Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field Diploma (Level 4, MQF): 1. Minimum CGPA of 2.00 2. Credit in 1 Science subject at SPM level / equivalent qualification*
