Tourist spending can lead to an increase in income and employment for the local community. Tourism also allows locals to keep up with their traditional cultural practices. This programme equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage a successful tourism destination and its related business activities. It is also designed to prepare graduates to be entrepreneurs capable of leading and managing their businesses by providing them with the legal knowledge, social and ethical skills, and life-long learning that they will need to start, nurture, and grow their business.
