Student Testimonials

Faiz Muhammad Alkozai, Afghanistan

Overseas Training Programme, 2 months

As a civil servant from the Ministry of Finance, Afghanistan, I have been given the opportunity to attain special professional training overseas. Before I came to Malaysia for my training programme, I knew next to nothing about this country and its people. I would describe my experience of this country thus far as rather marvellous. But, I would like to mention an outstanding point: the attitude, generosity and kindness shown by the staff and students here. As an international student, I greatly appreciate the support given by the staff from the International Office and the higher authority of SIT International College. The environment in the college is conducive for study and the materials available for study are up-to-date and useful.

Fathmath Shauna Shakir, Maldives

University of London, BSc.(Hons)Econs & Mgmt. External programme, 2nd year

SIT has a very friendly environment. Since the start of my studies here, I have found the lecturers and the students to be very helpful. The college offers degree programmes that are highly reputable and internationally recognized, providing international students like myself with better employment opportunities upon graduation. These degrees also allows students to qualify into any UK/Australian postgraduate program.

Norma, Indonesia

4+0 American Degree Programme (Southern New Hempshire University, BSc. Business), 3rd year

The environment at SIT is calm, creating a suitable atmosphere for learning. The programmes offered here are reputable because of the rigorous standard of assessment set by SIT itself and the respective universities which are in collaboration with the college. I even had the opportunity to discuss and share ideas with students overseas through my e-learning module. The lecturers and staff accommodate our needs in SIT.

Owais Kazi, Dubai U.A.E

American Degree Program, 1 year

After completing 3 years of study in Dubai, I transferred to SIT International College in Malaysia, and I’m happy I made that choice. This place has all the necessary requirements for a memorable college life. I was really impressed by the quality of education and teaching techniques offered. The best part is people here are very friendly and down to earth. Apart from studies, travelling around Malaysia and its many beautiful islands is truly inspiring. It is very affordable too. One great thing about Malaysia is how so many different cultures are combined here in a perfect blend. The time I’ve spent in Malaysia would be stored as golden memories within me.

Samir Yusuf, Kenya

BCIS

Malaysia has taught me how to be Self Independent. The people are nice and have helped me to be what I am today.

Smile Mia Barbosa, Manila, Philippines

Diploma in Business, 8 months

Malaysia was the first country I visited in July 2005, when I was here on vacation. During that visit I explored many beautiful places and islands, which left behind breathtaking memories within me. One of my favorite food here is ‘Nasi Lemak”, sweet and spicy and especially delicious when eaten with egg. In addition, I encountered different races and their various cultures and traditions. For instance, the Indian culture, I experienced wearing a saree and the Punjabi suit. What make it more appealing are the various colourful & beautiful accessories that go with these costumes. I’m enjoying my stay here because I’m communicating with other races, understanding their beliefs and perception in life. I’ve learned a lot from the people in general, my lecturers and students. I’m happy I made the right decision and I have no regrets about studying in Malaysia. I wish to graduate here and if everything works well, I’ll do my Masters here as well. I feel proud of having a chance to make so many new friends, exploring new places and no doubt feeling at home away from home.

Song Fei, China

University of South Australia, B.Computer & Information Science twinning programme, 3rd year

From the first day I set foot in SIT, I realized something very unique about it that was different from my native culture; the friendliness of the lecturers and staff and the warm welcome that I received. The college also possesses good facilities and resources. More importantly, SIT adopts a style of teaching that encourages one to be independent in learning, rather than being “spoon-fed” with information.

Yee Hui Hui, Singapore

Bachelor of Science 4 + 0, American Degree Program, 4 Years

Singapore and Malaysia are similar in terms of food and climate. Therefore, adjusting to life here was not a problem. HICT’s commitment to quality education is demonstrated in its processes and procedures that monitor the quality of its courses. My experiences here will definitely be a memorable phase of my life, especially the new friendships I have made with students from many countries.

Zhang Shan Shan

B.Commerce, University of Adelaide, Australia (Twinning Programme)

“I am glad that I have gone through the twinning programme with S.I.T as I see myself at an advantage. By starting with S.I.T, my familiarity with the university’s course demands & delivery styles, procedures and its overall system has helped me to adapt without much difficulty, to campus life in Adelaide, Australia. The twinning arrangement has indeed oriented me well ahead of time!” Zhang Shan Shan is currently pursuing the B.Commerce degree in University of Adelaide and has been invited by the University to pursue the Honours degree.

Zhou Lu Dao, Beijing

I’ve been studying in SIT for one and half years. During this period of time, I’ve became much more independent and mature, and I have really learned a lot of knowledge and skill at SIT. The atmosphere in SIT is always very friendly and comfortable. Students have very good relationship with lecturers. Local students are always very friendly towards foreign students. Actually I have never felt lonely or depressed since I came to Malaysia. I believe this is both a wise and economic choice to study at SIT, and then continue the last year’s degree study at University of South Australia.
