The Best 'Imagineers' of TN50 Will Be Announced on 25 Nov. 2017

The Winners of DC3 Awards Shall Receive Prizes Worth Nearly RM100,000

Kuala Lumpur, 25 October 2017 – Multimedia University (MMU) and Creative Content Industry Guild (CCIG) will organise the DC3 Awards 2017 ceremony to announce and celebrate the award-winners of Digital Creative Content Creation Competition 2017.

The DC3 Awards 2017 is scheduled to be graced by Minister of Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Mohd Salleh Tun Said Keruak, the Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia on 25 November 2017 at MMU Cyberjaya.

The inaugural DC3 Competition, which was launched in Jun 2017, is a platform for all levels of local art talents, to display the creative content via the digital online platform for sharing ideas, aspirations, and stories that are delivered creatively to support the 2050 National Transformation (TN50) plan. Under its theme ‘Imagineering the Aspirations of TN50’, the competition honor the best content creators that can inspire Malaysian imagineers to employ their skills to contribute to the country’s mission and development.

As the participation from the public are overwhelming thus far, Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq, the President of MMU said, the competition has spawn more creative minds and resources in the industry as well as has opened up the opportunity to contribute more closely and significantly to the nation. “This would not be possible without the incomparable support from the Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for being our main sponsor of the DC3 Awards 2017,” he added.

During the press conference, Datuk Jurey Latiff Rosli, Chairman of CCIG recorded his appreciation to MCMC via its Pusat Internet 1Malaysia across the nation which have extremely pushed further the entries from the school level students up to the level of higher education institutions in Malaysia as well general public for the general category.

A total of nearly RM100,000 worth of prizes awaits winners in various categories of DC3 Competition 2017 including Photography, Digital Image Manipulation, New Media Design / Multimedia Application, and Digital Video. Higher education institutions and schools which send the most entries will also be awarded. From Jun 2017 until the closing date on 30 October 2017, the competition has been running fully online where participants can upload their work and personal details in the DC3 Competition 2017 portal.
