EC-Council - is a world recognized professional body that specializes in cybersecurity certification training that is based in US. ECC has also created other cybersecurity credentials, such as Certified Network Defender (C|ND), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (C|HFI), among many others that are offered in over 145 countries globally. It also operates a series of IT security conferences, such as Hacker Halted, Global CyberLympics, and Takedowncon.
Many of these certifications are recognized worldwide and have received endorsements from various government agencies including the U.S. Federal Government via the Montgomery GI Bill, National Security Agency (NSA), and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS).
Cyber Security is growing in importance and covers a wide range of skills from ethical hacking, network defender, forensic investigation, and disaster recovery. The newly introduced EC-Council Cyber Security programme prepares and equips HELP students to play a prominent and pioneering leadership role in the security space.
HELP students will have the opportunity to qualify for the industry standard EC- Council certification which gives them a strong grounding in computer skills and the fundamental aspects of computer security. They can thus become cybersecurity professionals. They will be most useful to companies which need to defend, protect and uphold cybersecurity integrity of the companies they work for.
EC-COUNCIL Cyber Security Certification has developed a portfolio of expert programs and with different levels of specialization. Students begin with the fundamental programme and move on to specialization levels which range from Certified Network Defender, Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator and according to the programme requires 40 hours of full hands on learning with i-Lab led by the Certified EC-Council instructor.

They get better global recognition, more mobile, and higher remuneration as a security professional.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic we have witnessed an increase in cyber fraud and identity theft as many thieves are more desperate during this economic recession. Our graduates need to be better equipped and trained to safeguard not only their own assets but the assets of their potential employer. Unethical hacking is now a serious challenge and a destructive force to the security and safety of all companies and governments,” said Dr Chan during the MOU signing between Intellize Tech Services and HELP University. The program also complements HELP’s Master in Economic Crime Management.
Sean Lim, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of EC-Council Academia, the academic board which grants the certification upon completion of the course said, “Covid-19 is the modern world’s greatest disruptor and only organisations with the vision and gumption to change quickly will thrive – HELP is one such positive example. Their foresight in building expertise in online delivery has earned them the QS-5 STAR rating and that is especially critical in the Covid-19 and post pandemic world.”
Sean added that learning approaches are chosen to be compatible to the method of delivery and can include case studies, investigations, discussions, resource –based learning, and independent reading. A wide range of teaching, learning and assessment approaches are used and have proven beneficial in exposing students to diverse approaches.
