The Yek Min Ek Foundation offers scholarships to deserving Malaysian students primarily from Sarawak pursuing their undergraduate degrees in local universities.
The scholarship programme is open for all fields of study. However, their preference is for the courses below;
- Engineering ( All )
- Agriculture
- IT / Computing
- Accounting / Finance
- Education
- Medicine
Criteria
Read the criteria and instructions carefully. Please ensure all fields in the application form are filled-out correctly to avoid rejection.
- Applicants must generally come from families who would find it a challenge to finance tuition fees and living expenses
- Must be a Malaysian Citizen preferably from Sarawak
- Applicants must be full-time students
- Must have good academic results
- Good community service / extracurricular records
- Accepted into or attending academic institutions recognised by Malaysian Government
How to Apply
Please prepare the following documents in soft copy to be uploaded :
- Passport Sized Photo
- Copy of IC
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Academic Results and Certificates (PMR, SPM, Matriculation, STPM/A-Levels) and latest results
- Offer letter or equivalent from university showing name of course, commencement of course, duration of course and cost of fees
- Parents Income Tax Returns (if working) or 12 months’ payslip certified by employer
- One reference letter, preferably attesting to your character, academic ability and potential
- Personal Statement (100 words) on your values, aspirations and goal and on why you are deserving of Yek Min Ek Foundation Scholarship
