Bachelor of Administration (Hons) in Accounting & Finance

Course Overview

TThis programme is designed to prepare you to leverage assets, manage budgets, achieve financial efficiencies, and maximise investments. Approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), the programme aims to provide you a solid grounding on the theories, principles and practices in accounting, finance, taxation and auditing. With courses ranging from financial accounting, financial reporting and analysis, to international business, macroeconomics, taxation and auditing, this bachelor’s degree programme generates the skills required to enhance your analytical and quantitative capabilities-equipping you to pursue a career in the field of accounting, finance, taxation or auditing.

Curriculum

* Students who have completed the Graduate Preparatory Course at the diploma level are not required to take this course again, but are required to take an additional University Course to ensure that a total of four (4) MPU2 courses are taken.

** DS3024 and DS3025 are meant to be for local students while DS3027 and DS3026 are for international students.

Entry Requirements

• MUET: Band 2.0 (for Malaysian students) AND any of the following:
• STPM or equivalent: 2C and a credit in SPM Mathematics
• UEC: 5Bs including Mathematics
• Foundation/Matriculation: CGPA 2.50 and a credit in SPM Mathematics
• Diploma in Accounting or a related field: CGPA 2.50

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT (for international students)*

• IELTS: 5.5 OR
• TOEFL: 550 (PBT)/ 79 (iBT) OR
• Pearson: 42
• MUET: Band 3

*International students with qualifications from educational systems where English language is the main medium of instruction are exempted from this requirement.

International students who do not fulfil the English Language Requirement may join the Intensive English Programme at Nilai University which builds their skills in the language and prepares them for the TOEFL / IELTS examination.
