Due to the current shift towards knowledge-based economy, there is a growing demand for highly-educated teachers or educational leaders to manage schools and institutions more effectively.
In line with this demand, the Master of Education is designed with the following objectives :
The Master of Education is especially suited for teachers, school principals, college lecturers and other education personnel who wish to equip themselves with up-to-date knowledge and specialized skills for continuous personal improvement as well as career enhancement in their professions.
Note
Coursework with concentration is only offered in Kuala Lumpur, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang (Kuantan), Negeri Sembilan, Sabah (Kota Kinabalu) dan Sarawak (Kuching). The concentration offered is Educational Management.

Bachelor degree in related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by Senate AND Diploma in Education OR Diploma/Certificate in Teaching; ORBachelor degree in Education with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by Senate; ORBachelor degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted with at least 2 years related working experience.Bachelor degree with CGPA less than 2.50, can be accepted with a minimum of 5 years related working experience.

More than 30 years of age on 1 January in the year of application; ANDSTPM / Recognised Diploma / A-Levels / Equivalent; ANDRelevant work experience / prior experiential learning; ANDPass the APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test, Portfolio & Interview) conducted by OUM
