Diploma in Forestry (Bintulu Campus)

Course Overview

Diploma in Forestry is offered to train sub professionals for the forestry sector. Job opportunities include private companies, government and non-government agencies. This programme emphasizes on sustainable forest management, wildlife management, wood industry management as well as forest parks and recreation management. Diploma in Forestry is a three (3) semester programme with 103 total credit hours.

Fullfills the University General Requirements and SPECIFIC PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must posses a minimum credit in subjects of Mathematics, Biology OR Science and credit in ONE (1) of the following subjects:

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Agricultural Sciences
• Advance Mathematics
• Advance Science
• Related Science & Technical subjects*

and

Pass English at SPM level

REQUIREMENTS FOR CATEGORY C APPLICANTS

Posses a related and relevant field certificate or equivalent even higher qualification of University Generic Requirements approved from institutions recognized by the UPM Senate.

or;

Have Forestry Ranger Certificate with get at least PNGK 3.0 and credit/distinction in Malay Language, Mathematics and one of the Science subjects at SPM level or equivalent.
