The Diploma in Fishery is offered to train graduates in fishery production with emphasis in fish breeding, fishing techniques, limnology and oceanography, water and soil quality, fish diseases, aquatic ecology, seamanship and navigation, handling and processing of fish products, and entrepreneurship. Graduates of this programme have career prospects in fishery-related public and private sectors as well as in the fields of research and entrepreneurship. The Diploma in Fishery is a six (6) semester programme with a total of 103 credit hours
Fullfills the University General Requirements and SPECIFIC PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must posses a minimum credit in subjects of Mathematics, Biology OR Science and credit in ONE (1) of the following subjects:
(* Geography/ Agro- technology Studies/ /Commerce/ Entrepreneurship Studies/ Food Preparation & Servicing/ Animal Production/ Farming Machinery/ Estate Management/ Principles of Accounting/ Basis Economy/ Mechanical Engineering Studies/ Basis of Information Processing) and pass English at SPM level
