Bachelor of Science (Food Service Management) is designed to achieve the goal line with the UPM to produce quality graduates who are competitive and able to excel through continuous learning and contribute to the development of a healthy and productive society . At the end of the program the graduate is capable of doing the work or duties of a manager of food service institutions independently , ethically , responsibly and creatively.

General University Requirements
1. Candidate of Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM )
a. Pasa Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM ) / equivalent with good ;
b. Pass with credits in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM / equivalent ;
c. Pass STPM with at least ;
- Grade C ( CGPA 2.00 ) in General Studies , and
- Grade C ( CGPA 2.00 ) in two ( 2) other subjects , and
d. Occupied the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
2. Kelayakan candidate Matriculation / UM Science Foundation / Foundation for Agricultural Science UPM / UTM Foundation Year
a. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM ) / equivalent with good ;
b. Pass with credits in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM / equivalent ;
c. Pass Matriculation / UM Science Foundation / Foundation UPM Agricultural Sciences/ UTM Foundation Year with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and
d. Occupied the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
3. Calon Equivalent Qualifications
a. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM ) / equivalent with good ;
b. Pass with credits in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM / equivalent ;
c. Have a diploma or other qualifications recognized with its peers by the government and approved by the Senate University,
d. Occupied the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
SPECIFIC PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
1. Pass at least Grade C (2.00 ), one ( 1 ) of the following :
- Chemistry
- Biology
2. Pass credit in one ( 1 ) science subjects in SPM
C. Candidate must also :
INTERNATIONAL
International candidates must posses an equivalent qualification of the Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) or a Diploma recognized by the Malaysian Government.
EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATION
1. A good pass in O – levels/ its equivalent.
2. A pass in the A-levels with at least :- C Grade in three (3) subjects;
3. A Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or a TOEFL score of at least 550 or a score of 6 in the IELTS examination;
AND has fulfilled special requirements for the program i.e. attaining the required grades in (sciences/arts) as specified for each UPM Bachelor programme.
OR EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATION
1. A pass in the Higher School Certificate (HSC)/its equivalent with at least :- C+ grade in three (3) subjects or 65% in three (3) subjects in the Final Level of Secondary Education
2. A pass in the University Entrance Exam (for countries which seek such requirement for admission into universities);
3. A Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or a TOEFL score of at least 550 or a score of 6 in the IELTS examination
AND has fulfilled special requirements for the program i.e. attaining the required grades in (sciences/arts) as specified for each UPM Bachelor programme.
OR EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATION
1. A Diploma or its equivalent which is recognized by the Malaysian Government and the University Senate with a CGPA of at least 3.00
2. A Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or a TOEFL score of at least 550 or a score of 6 in the IELTS examination
AND has fulfilled special requirements for the program i.e. attaining the required grades in (sciences/arts) as specified for each UPM Bachelor programme.
Bachelor of Science (Food Service Management will produce graduates which capable to participate in various fields such as off the food and beverage (F & B Industry, service management, marketing, quality assurance and chefs.
