City University College of Science and Technology (City-U) is located in the middle of a robust development of three cities, i.e. Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam. Students enjoy modern infrastructure and a high-paced city lifestyle at both campuses in Petaling Jaya and Kota Damansara. The university college has been in existence since 1984. Back then, it was known as Petaling Jaya Community College (PJCC). In 1998, it was acquired by the Selia Group and was then rebranded to Unity College International (UCI). Later on, City-U was awarded a university college status.
The growth and progress of City-U as a vibrant learning and cultural institution has been in tandem with the government’s vision to establish Malaysia as a regional centre for educational excellence. With its track record and reputation for excellence, City-U is dedicated towards promoting education holistically through experiential and theoretical learning. Students are exposed to many cultural backgrounds where they can enrich their knowledge in an international setting at the campus.
In line with the development of many industries in Malaysia, programmes at City-U are industrially driven to ensure employability of all its graduates. Students have the opportunity to fulfil their dream vocations by choosing the right programme starting from undergraduate to postgraduate studies. The programmes are of high-quality, yet affordable with accreditations from the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Students with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualifications who aspire to pursue their first degree in the field of business, sciences and information technology will be able to do so by taking a one-year foundation studies. The programme prepares students academically and mentally to pursue their ambition in any degree programme of their choice without sitting for a diploma. Financial assistance and scholarships are provided for eligible students.
Furthering your studies at City-U allows you to embrace a holistic academic approach from industry practitioners, and highly experienced and friendly lecturers. Programmes offered are of current knowledge and practices to ensure that City-U graduates are job-ready and marketable. City University was established in 1984 and is one of the oldest private education institutions in Malaysia. From humble roots as a community college, we have weathered many storms and grown to become an established and respected university in Malaysia and the region. City University is fully accredited university under the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and our degrees are internationally recognised the world over.
We have seen more than 38,000 students graduate from our corridors hailing from all corners of the world. Our last count revealed that we have students of as many as 60 different nationalities. This provides the backdrop of a truly global environment that embraces diversity and inclusion.

Financial assistance is available for students who are eligible. City-U works closely with all relevant bodies to ensure a smooth application and disbursement process.
Learning comes easy with state of the art facilities such as a modern library (with e-book system), IT lab, arts studio, engineering lab, Wi-Fi, nursing clinical unit, cafeteria, student lounge, activity areas, college buses for students to travel from their hostel to campus, and lots more.
