What is D-SETARA?
D-SETARA is a Discipline-Based Rating System that measures the quality of teaching and learning in academic disciplines at level six or the undergraduate level of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework. To assess the quality of teaching and learning, the rating instrument covers three generic domains: input (talent, resources and governance); process (curriculum) and output (quality of graduates and graduate satisfaction). The D-SETARA exercise classifies its rating into six Tiers, ranging from Tier 1 ‘Weak’ to Tier 6 ‘Outstanding’.
