Overview
This 12 month intensive course is designed for students with
qualifications and/or experience in hospitality management who
wish to develop their skills for intermediate and middle anagement
position.
This course is also suitable for people without formal qualifications but with several years of management experience in the hospitality or tourism industry, who can demonstrate the aptitude and knowledge for successful completion of the course.
Those who possess qualifications and work experience from
unrelated fields, and are contemplating on moving to the exciting
world of hospitality and/or tourism may also find this course suitable
for them.

Programme Objective and Content
The programme’s objective is to equip students with the skills
necessary for eventual higher level management in the hospitality
industry. The core focus is on strategic planning and development,
and managing service organisations in a regional and international
setting.
Programme Structure
The programme consists of 10 compulsory modules including a
capstone Management Research Report consisting of a 15,000 word
research project. To facilitate the completion of the final project, a
personal research supervisor is assigned to each student.
The programme is run on a modular basis with each module lasting
4 months. The full-time (day) programme can be completed in 12
months. Students in the part-time programme (evening or weekend
classes) can complete the course over a 24 month period, or as
quickly as 16 months.

Coursework and Assessment
This programme adopts a fl exible approach to assessment with a mix
of group and individual presentations, examinations and reports.

Entry Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in any field, or
Exceptionally matured candidates with non-standard qualification,
but with extensive work experience in middle-management or at
management level may be considered, provided that the candidate
can demonstrate the aptitude and knowledge needed to successfully
complete the programme. Applications are subject to the approval of
IMI University Centre, Switzerland.
Teaching Staff
The teaching staff comprises visiting international professors, most of
them from IMI University Centre, Lucerne, Switzerland.
