MSU Honors King with Honorary Doctorate

Management & Science University (MSU) is proud to announce its conferment of an Honorary Doctorate in Strategic Management & Leadership to His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at a special ceremony marking the occasion of MSU’s 18th Convocation.

The award ceremony was held on 13 January 2016 at the National Palace graced by MSU Chancellor, Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong. Also present were President Professor Tan Sri Dato Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid, Pro-Chancellor Tan Sri Dato' Dr Wan Mohd Zahid Mohd Noordin, Vice Chancellor Professor Puan Sri Dato Dr Junainah Abd Hamid, University Board members and senior staff.

The Honorary Doctorate conferred is a tribute to His Majesty's contribution and dedication in leadership over the past 59 years. His Majesty's administrative career began in 1957 with the Alor Setar District Office, soon after as the Ruler for the state of Kedah Darul Aman and as Yang di-Pertuan Agong on two separate terms. His Majesty became the only Malaysian King to accomplish a two-term reign (1970 to 1975 and 2011 to 2016).

Management & Science University (MSU) is committed to producing competent graduates who meet the country’s human capital needs.
