World Renowned Smart Money Trading Expert Conducts Seminar in AeU Campus

A seminar, on ‘The 21st Century Technician’ which was opened to the public and students was presented by world renowned smart money stock trader and academician, Professor Dr Hank Pruden on 12 May 2015. The seminar was organized by Asia e University (AeU) in collaboration with Golden Gate University, MNS Global and F1 Academy of Technical Analysis (FIATA).

The seminar, hosted by AeU was held at the main campus in Kuala Lumpur. It was attended by an overwhelming response of 150 participants which exceeds the targeted numbers. The participants were from the public and AeU students who are pursuing Industrial doctorate, DBA and MBA.

Dr. Pruden is a professor at Golden Gate University, San Francisco and served as a board of directors of the Market Technicians Association, a vice chair of the Americas for the International Federation of Technical Analysts, He is also a leading technical analyst with over 20 years of active trading experience. Currently he is the executive director of the Institute of Technical Market Analysis and president of the Technical Securities Analysis Association of San Francisco.

Dr. Pruden’s Talk touches on the powerful technique on Wyckoff method on how syndicates move markets in commodities, stocks or future options. The Wyckoff method is known to work for traders in different time frames and in different vehicles. The Wyckoff method comprised of the law of supply and demand, law of effort versus result, and law of cause and effect. “The technical analysis at its best is a combination of classic chart reading coupled with notions from the social sciences”, says Dr. Pruden who shared his valuable knowledge and experiences on Wyckoff Method.

Representing AeU were Prof. Dr. Mak Chai, Vice President (Academic Administration), who delivered the opening speech. Also present was Prof. Dr. Juhary Ali, Dean of the School of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences who helped organized the event. Another speaker who introduced Pruden was Mr Fred K.H. The participants find the seminar interesting and useful in enriching their knowledge in areas of finance in their business studies. Feedback from a student after attending the seminar had this to say about the seminar as well as AeU’s MBA programme:
