The Bachelor of Science (Hons) Management Information Systems degree offered at AIMST University is 3 ½ year programme. The degree provides students with an understanding on business and information systems. Students will learn how businesses use information systems to improve their operations. The programme emphasizes in problem-solving techniques to analyze, design, program, implement, and manage solutions to business problems and learn how information systems can improve the way a business operates. They will also learn how to manage various information systems so that they best serve the needs of organizations and particular industries.
The Bachelor of Science (Hons) Management Information Systems degree gives students the opportunity to learn about the management and information systems subjects. Students will learn the components of Information systems, characteristics of hardware, software and telecommunications; types of information systems; networking and the worldwide web; and how Information systems is used to promote business objectives and gain competitive advantage. Besides the knowledge in Information systems and management, students are also able to gain the soft skills to meet the challenging and demanding work envi-ronment in organizations. Students will engage in developing systems for final year project and also will engage in industrial training to acquire the work experience. The structure of the pro-gramme will able to provide the knowledge and the confidence in the students to be ready to work in the globalized working environment.

STPM / STAM or equivalent:
AIMST Foundation/ Other Foundation/ Government Matriculation / Diploma: A pass with CGPA≥ 2.0 with pass in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics at SPM level
UEC: Pass with grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics or Additional Mathematics
Diploma in related field or equivalent: CGPA≥ 2.0 and pass in Mathematics / Add Maths at SPM level.
** Exception of Maths at SPM Level if attained better results at higher qualification.
Students in a-three-and-half year duration period, 7 semester full-time course will be assessed through a combination of summative and formative assessment which comprises written examinations, practical report, presentations, assignments, industrial training and research projects.
