Course Overview

Do you aspire to own your own art studio one day?
The Diploma in Fine Art offers opportunities for the students to develop creative skills and visual language to probe reality and express through the tangibility of form. This course stresses on critical and creative thinking along with strong studio-based studies.
 
Students with drawing, painting, printmaking, figure drawing and non-traditional experimental projects which expose the students to the visual language necessary for them to explore and discover their individual artistic inclination. Advanced and in-depth studies will be implemented progressively to enable our students to develop skills and techniques. At the same time, students will learn to express their ideas, perceptions, imaginations, responses and creativity.

Curriculum

The Diploma in Fine Art offers study of Fine Art as an educational process which provides opportunities for the students to develop creative skills and visual language to probe reality and express through the tangibility of form. Advanced and in-depth studies are implemented progressively to enable the students to develop skills and techniques, and to express their ideas, perceptions, imaginations, responses and creativity. The programme also stresses critical and creative thinking with strong studio-based studies and given opportunity to examine the challenging human value and search for individual meaning in the form of contemporary or historical context.

Entry Requirements

SPM with minimum 3 credits in any subjects and passes in Bahasa Malaysia and Sejarah; or

UEC with minimum 3 Grade B in any subjects; or

O-Level with minimum 3 Grade C in any subjects; or

Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian government; AND

Submit two (2) A4 size drawings (personal choice of media, technique and subject matter).
