The Bachelor of Banking and Finance with Honours (BBF) program offered by Open University Malaysia is to fulfill individual needs with interest in pursuing further education and career in banking and finance. The program to be offered will produce skilled and competent graduates to perform tasks and responsibilities in the fields of banking and finance. OUM aims to produce quality graduates that are analytical, creative and innovative and able to contribute to the development and advancement of banking and finance industry. The BBF curriculum was designed to enable the graduates to obtain various knowledge and skills in banking and finance which include conventional and Islamic approaches.
This program focuses on main fields in the banking and finance such as financial management, corporate finance, international finance, risk management, investment analysis and portfolio management, Islamic finance, conventional banking and Islamic banking, with the intention of providing a wide knowledge and financial skills to the students. Besides core courses offered by OUM, students will enrol into the compulsory courses and basic compulsory such as language, living skills, ethics, entrepreneurship, information technology, thinking skills, management and communication. The purpose of the courses is to provide BBF graduates with various knowledge and skills that are useful to them in their careers either in the public or private sectors.

Normal Entry
Passed SPM with at least one credit in any subjects; AND
Passed STPM or equivalent with 2 principles in any subjects; OR
Passed Diploma in relevant field which is recognised by MQA; OR OR
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government; OR OR
Passed a recognized Matriculation Certificate.

APEL Admission
More than 21 years of age on 1 January in the year of application; AND
Relevant work experience / prior experiential learning; AND
Pass the APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test & Portfolio) conducted by OUM
