The four-year programme objectives, among others, are to produce well-trained graduates in accounting and to fulfil the country’s need of professional accountants by the year 2020. The program will e quip students with skills and knowledge required of an accountant, in which students will be exposed no only technical aspects of accounting but also to related issues in the business world in general and the accounting profession in particular. Course concentrations cover financial accounting, management accounting, audit, taxation, public sector accounting, accounting information systems, accounting theory and practice, accounting ethics, finance and other related courses. The Bachelor of Accounting with Honours degree is a recognised accountancy degree under Part I of the First Schedule of the Accountants Act, 1967
