Course Description

The Bachelor of Science (Hons) Internal Auditing and Management programme offered at AIMST University is a 3 ½ year programme. The programme is designed to provide students with flexibility in both course offerings and career choices. This program provides a thorough grounding in internal auditing, within a strong social science framework. Having the internal Auditing and Management degree would springboard graduates career options. The Core modules such as Principles of Internal Audit, Ethics and Organizational Governance, Risk Management, Developing and Managing an Internal Audit Function in this degree are to develop the students understanding of the technical language and practices of internal auditing with focus on management and its application in business.

The programme gives students the opportunity to acquire the in-depth knowledge of Audit and Management and the range of skills that need to embark on a successful career in auditing, and to pursue a professional qualification or postgraduate study. Students do not need prior knowledge of auditing to join the programme, as the first year provides a foundation in auditing and related subjects. The Second Year and Third Year programmes integrate and expand further into special areas of internal auditing and management. The industrial training for the students will be an added advantage because it will equip them with exposure to the working environment the field of Audit.

Entry Requirements

A-Level / STPM: Pass with GPA ≥ 2.0 (Grade C) in any 2 subjects or pass in any 2 subject course

Gvt.Matriculation / Foundation: Pass with CGPA ≥ 2.0

UEC: Full pass in 5 subjects with grade B

Diploma Level 4, KKM: Pass with in related field

AIMST Foundation in Business / Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY): Pass with CGPA ≥ 2.0

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) / Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Pass with GPA ≥ 2.0 (Grade C) in 3 subjects

Other Equivalent Qualifications: will be assessed and referred for approval on case by case basis

International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS or its equivalent.

Students in a-three-and-half year duration period, 7 semester full-time course will be assessed through a combination of summative and formative assessment which comprises written examinations, practical report, presentations, assignments, industrial training, and research projects.
