You have the exciting opportunity of enrolling for the APU-CMI Dual Accreditation by registering for a qualification through APU. Students under Master of Business Administration will have the option to also opt-in for a CMI L7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice which will be awarded subject to moderation by CMI.

This programme is specifically designed to provide:

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This programme is geared towards managers who wish to focus on enhancing and enriching management and critical decision making skills in national and international organisations. In addition, middle and senior level managers who are undergoing challenging tasks in manufacturing and/or services sectors will find this programme useful towards career growth.

MODULES & PROJECT

This programme comprises 9 core modules (including Research Methodology module), 2 elective modules and a project. The modules take into consideration issues of management skills, marketing, managing strategy, change management, and leadership. In addition, internationalisation and global perspectives are considered and focus is given to project management in order to enhance the programme.

PROJECT

You will be expected to conduct effective research in relation to business for both academic and industry purposes. Either route will require you to plan and conduct effective academic research in relation to the conduct of substantial and substantive individual research and analysis in relation to an aspect of business leading to a significant project or the conduct of appropriate research and analysis leading to one of an academic paper, consultancy report or case history in relation to an aspect of business.


OPEN & DISTANCE LEARNING (ODL)

  • Master of Business Administration with ODL (Open & Distance Learning) allows students to learn anytime, anywhere at their own pace - this power of freedom has ignited more interest & excitement in learning.
  • The delivery will consist of online meetings and consultation through Microsoft Teams, coupled with Asynchronous learning materials on Moodle.
  • This programme is an APU award only.
  • Students are to register the modules on a modular basis. Each module will be offered over a two-month duration.

Entry Requirements
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's degree in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the Senate.

• A Bachelor's degree in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.

• A Bachelor's degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.

• ​A Bachelor's degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses.


Note: The above entry requirements may differ for specific programmes based on the latest programme standards published by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
