Course Overview

Psychology is the scientific study of the relationship between mind and behaviour. The psychology component of the programme (70%) covers the core domains of psychology, namely biological psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, individual differences, social psychology, conceptual and historical issues in psychology, and research methods. The management component of the programme (30%) introduces a range of topics that are relevant to workplace psychology such as consumer behaviour, marketing, human resource management and project management. Teaching and assessment emphasises application to real world issues, and enhances transferable employability skills such as numerical and computer literacy, communication and teamwork.  

This programme will be offered with a January intake, in addition to our usual September intake.  

Our psychology with management graduates have a strong record of employment in business management, marketing, human resources, coaching, academic research and teaching, to name but a few.

In addition to the entry requirements listed above, applicants must have grade C in Mathematics and Science at SPM/ IGCSE level or equivalent. This requirement can be waived if applicants have obtained at least grade pass in Mathematics at a higher level.

Career Prospects

Psychology with management graduates will be well prepared for business-related employment. The degree knowledge and skills lead to a wide range of occupational roles in commercial organisations, educational institutions, government and NGO sectors. Examples include human resources, market research, advertising and public relations, sales, teaching, counselling, and social work.
