Course Overview

The Diploma in Journalism focuses on the development of practical skills in journalism, alongside relevant theories, including law and media. The curriculum are carefully integrated with applied journalism to provide a well-rounded education designed to produce professionals and responsible journalists. Classes are conducted in small numbers to provide more personal attention. Students go through intensive training in news reporting, writing and publishing with guidance from senior lecturers who come from the media industry. Students also gain placement in daily and weekly publishers or media owners.

Entry Requirements

- SPM/SPMV with 3 credits in any subjects including English
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in 3 subjects
- Certificate in related field from Polytechnic
- Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia
