Course Description

The Bachelor of Science (Human Development and Information Technology) is a double-major programme that focuses on basic and technical skills in the fields of Human Development and Information Technology. The programme is consistent with the national aspiration of becoming a developed nation with an emphasis on information technology. The programme aims to produce versatile, multi- and inter-disciplinary graduates by equipping them with a combination of skills from applied Social Sciences (Human Development) and Technology (Information Technology). The Information Technology component is expected to give the Bachelor of Science (Human Development and Information Technology) graduates an edge over Social Science graduates from other local and international universities.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must fullfill the University General Requirements and specific programme requirements:

University General Requiments

A good pass in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM)/its equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia or a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July Paper; and

A Diploma or its equivalent which is recognized by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate; or

A pass in the STPM Examination with at least; CGPA 2.00 and at least;

  • C grade (CGPA 2.00) in General Studies; and
  • C grade (CGPA 2.00) in two other subjects; or

A pass in the Matriculation Examination with at least; CGPA 2.00; and

At least Band 1 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

Specific Programme Requiments

A minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two of the following subjects at STPM level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Accounting, Geography, History, Business Studies, Usuluddin, Syariah, Sport Science, Computing; and

A minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Mathematics S/Mathematics T/Further Mathematics T/Computing; or

A minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two of the following subjects at Matriculation level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, , Economics, Accounting, Business Management; and Mathematics; or

A Diploma in a relevant field or any other qualification recognized by the UPM Senate; and

A pass in one of the Science subject at SPM level. 

All fees are in RM (Ringgit Malaysia) currency unless stated otherwise.
