Institution Overview

The Melaka-Manipal Medical College (MMMC) was conceived from the ‘Look East Policy’ of the former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who recognised the need for greater South-South cooperation in the economic, education and social sectors in line with the government’s objective of making the country leading educational hub in the region. MMMC is the first Indo-Malaysian joint venture private (professional) medical education and was established with the full support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Health.
