Kolej MDIS Malaysia is the second overseas campus of the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS). The ground-breaking ceremony in September 2013 was officiated by the then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education of Malaysia, YAB Tan Sri Dato Hj. Muhyiddin bin Hj. Mohd Yassin.
Kolej MDIS Malaysia was the first private tertiary institution of Singapore to make its foray into EduCity Iskandar, Johor when MDIS signed the landmark deal with EduCity Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd, making it the first major commitment by a Singapore private education group in the Iskandar special economic zone.
The RM300 million project was carried out in three phases: first to allow the campus to cater to some 2,000 students, and upon completion of the third phase, the integrated campus will be able to accommodate over 10,000 students. With the completion of the new campus at EduCity Iskandar, Johor, in December 2020, Kolej MDIS Malaysia is now one of the important landmarks in EduCity Iskandar.
Located in the education hub of the fully integrated EduCity Iskandar - Kolej MDIS Malaysia’s iconic campus sprawls over 30 acres and accommodates a state-of-the-art infrastructure, campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity, fully equipped classrooms, lecture theatres, computer labs, multipurpose hall, auditorium, sporting facilities, ample parking, 24/7 security and a full- fledged hostel on campus.
The campus also embraces eco-friendly initiatives, where approximately 40 per cent of the land area will be allocated to incorporate green features such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting tanks and glare shields. Consequently, water and electrical usage savings will be maximised.
Students from MDIS campuses in Singapore, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will enjoy opportunities to experience transnational education and with campuses in four different locations, this will offer students a comprehensive global perspective.
The MDIS Residences @ EduCity Iskandar, Johor is a hostel that consists of 581 rooms, a student lounge, 24/7 security, a mini park, a laundry room, Wi-Fi connectivity, and is located just 50 metres from EduCity Sports Complex.
Our on-campus hostel not only provides facilities for comfortable accommodation but also opportunities for students to experience group living and nurture capabilities for self- governance and self-discipline.
