Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) was established in 2000 as a postgraduate university by the MUST Ehsan Foundation (a private non-profit organization) with the assistance of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) USA. MUST helps to meet the need for high-quality graduates in the areas of science and technology by conducting full-time programmes at graduate levels in these fields.
What Makes Us Special?
Lecture rooms/halls are fully-equipped with audio visual aids, including LCD projectors and laptop computers.
High-bandwidth links for data transfer and video streaming is connected to the Internet with a two megabits per second (Mbps) leased line giving high-speed access to the Internet for students and staff anytime within the campus.
Workstations and computers are installed with the latest specialised software in all of MUST's laboratories.
A wireless network serves the library and the adjacent areas. Students can connect to the network using the university's laptops or their own laptops anywhere in the areas serviced by this network.
MUST's video conferencing facilities enable communication between the campus and other external institutions or organizations. The equipment is also used on a regular basis for academic and research collaboration between MUST and MIT.
Research labs are fully-equipped for all of MUST's programmes, The Biotechnology Faculty in particular, has four labs namely, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Plant Biotechnology and Proteomics.
The MUST library is well-stocked with printed and digitised magazines, journals and books. It is equipped with computer workstations that allows students to search and locate materials as well as access certain libraries in the world through the MUST Library homepage at http://library.must.edu.my.
A cozy and spacious student lounge is located on the 2nd floor for breaks and study discussions.
